May 30th  - Felt maker Lizzie Pearce gave an illustrated talk about the felting process, the history of felt making as well showing her own art works to wear and demonstrated felting techniques. lizzie.urbanfairies@gmail.com.

 

June 27th _  Tai Chi - Local teacher Jackie Wright  lead a practical session of simple, tai chi based movement for balance and wellbeing.

 

July 25th  -  Jeff Bishop, local historian, gave a wonderful presentation about the fascinating and surprising history of Westbury Park

 

August 29th -  Jamaican Cuisine. Chef Neufville, a very passionate Jamaican Chef, from Rice and Things on Cheltenham Road cooked tempting treats for us.  www.riceandthings.co.uk

 

September 26th -   We learnt to sing ‘Jerusalem’ with Westbury Park’s well known local musician, Tom Jones, who runs the Westbury Park Community Choir www.outtheremusic.net

 

October 24th - Christmas Crafts  The talents of some members  challenged our creativity with demonstrations and participation in making Christmas crafts.

 

November 28th – We had an interesting and informative talk by Andre (one of the support workers from One25) our chosen charity. www.one25.org.uk

 

December 12th - Carol Singing in Westbury Park to raise money for our chosen charity One25.  Afterwards we enjoyed a glass of mulled wine and mince pie back at Westmoreland Hall.
